CVE-2026-41871Network attack vector

Unauthenticated job execution via user-selected classes

Published Sep 9, 2026 · Updated Sep 10, 2026

Unsafe reflection in Apache Nutch Server 1.10 through 1.22 allows remote attackers to execute crawler jobs through the REST API. The job creation endpoint accepts the CLASS type and a client-supplied jobClassName, then selects and instantiates that class without authorization or an allowlist. Network access to Nutch Server is sufficient to invoke bundled job classes with the service's permissions.
