Shell command execution by malicious Director
Published Jul 9, 2026 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
OS command injection in BOSH CLI before 7.10.5 allows attackers to execute shell commands on an operator workstation through a malicious Director. Cloud Foundry has not published the vulnerable function or disclosed how Director-controlled data reaches a local shell. Exploitation requires an operator to run bosh ssh, bosh scp, or bosh logs -f with default flags, after which commands execute with that operator's workstation privileges.
