Cross-site scripting via incomplete template-literal escaping
Published Jun 9, 2026 · Updated Jun 9, 2026
Cross-site scripting in affected Spring Framework releases allows remote attackers to inject JavaScript into a victim's browser. JavaScriptUtils.javaScriptEscape leaves backticks and dollar signs unescaped, permitting template-literal expressions in rendered script. Exposure requires attacker-controlled text to pass through the utility into a JavaScript context and a victim to load the rendered output.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
