Service interruption via unreleased multipart memory
Published Jun 9, 2026 · Updated Jun 9, 2026
Memory leak in Spring Framework WebFlux multipart processing allows remote attackers to exhaust application memory through crafted requests. The multipart request processor fails to release memory retained for malicious multipart input, so repeated requests progressively consume available memory. The application must use WebFlux and expose an endpoint that accepts multipart requests; successful exploitation interrupts that application.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=5.3.0 <5.3.49
- Affected versionversion=6.1.0 <6.1.28
- Affected versionversion=6.2.0 <6.2.19
