Service interruption via unbounded projection collection binding
Published Jun 9, 2026 · Updated Jun 9, 2026
Denial of service in Spring Data Commons allows remote attackers to exhaust application memory through a crafted HTTP request. MapDataBinder passes attacker-controlled collection indexes to an auto-growing SpEL property accessor without a collection-size limit, causing oversized allocations. Reachability requires Spring Data Web Support and a controller method using @ProjectedPayload; the bounded consequence is application unavailability.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
