CVE-2026-4172Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated service interruption via unbounded ping address copy

Published Mar 15, 2026 · Updated Mar 15, 2026

Stack-based buffer overflow in TRENDnet TEW-632BRP 1.010B32 allows remote authenticated users to crash its HTTP service via a crafted POST request. The parse_special_char function copies the user-controlled ping_ipaddr value into a fixed-size stack variable with strcpy and no length check. Valid router credentials and access to ping_response.cgi are required; the disclosed proof supports service interruption, not code execution.
