Authenticated code execution via unsanitized Sort expressions
Published Jun 9, 2026 · Updated Jun 9, 2026
SpEL injection in affected Spring Data KeyValue and Spring Data Redis releases allows remote authenticated users to execute code. SpelPropertyComparator inserts an untrusted Sort property path into a SpEL expression and evaluates it with instance methods enabled. Exploitation requires an application to use this comparator for sorting, expose the repository method to untrusted input, and pass that input without sanitization.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
