Local privilege escalation in VMware Fusion 2025H2 allows local users to gain root privileges through a SETUID binary race. Broadcom describes only a TOCTOU race during an operation performed by a SETUID binary and does not name the binary, operation, or resource. Exploitation requires a local non-administrative account on the macOS host and results in root-level control of that system.
