Authenticated inventory deletion via unchecked POST handlers
Published May 7, 2026 · Updated May 7, 2026
Missing authorization in Admidio before 5.0.9 allows remote authenticated users to permanently delete inventory items. Inventory POST handlers validate CSRF tokens but call item services without checking isAdministratorInventory(), which directly deletes item, field, and borrowing records. Any logged-in user can reach the module under its default setting, obtain item UUIDs from the inventory list, and delete items individually or in bulk.
