Authenticated file disclosure via eCard path traversal
Published May 7, 2026 · Updated May 7, 2026
Path traversal in Admidio before 5.0.9 allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary server files through eCard preview requests. The ecard_preview.php endpoint strips HTML tags but passes the unverified ecard_template value to ECard::getEcardTemplate(), which concatenates it into an fopen path. A regular member account, a valid eCard form session, and its CSRF token are required; traversal can expose source code, system files, and database credentials.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
