CVE-2026-4164Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated command execution via unsanitized POST parameters

Published Mar 15, 2026 · Updated Mar 15, 2026

Command injection in Wavlink WL-WN578W2 firmware 221110 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary OS commands via crafted POST requests. The wireless.cgi handler interpolates NewName, delete_list, or delete_2g_mac into a command string with sprintf before sub_404850 passes it to system() without neutralizing shell metacharacters. No authentication or user interaction is required, and successful exploitation grants command execution on the network appliance.
