Credential phishing via unescaped contact-email markup
Published May 8, 2026 · Updated May 8, 2026
HTML injection in Ajax30 Brave CMS before commit 6c56603 allows remote attackers to place arbitrary markup in administrator emails. ContactController::submit applies nl2br() without HTML escaping, then contact-message.blade.php renders the result with an unescaped Blade directive. The form requires no authentication, but credential theft depends on an administrator opening the HTML-capable email and interacting with its injected phishing content.
