CVE-2026-41551Network attack vector

Arbitrary file read and write via path traversal

Published May 12, 2026 · Updated May 12, 2026

Path traversal in Siemens ROS# file_server before 2.2.2 allows remote attackers to read and write arbitrary files through ROS services. The service accepts attacker-controlled paths without rejecting dot segments or verifying that canonical targets remain inside the package share directory. Unauthenticated network access to the service is sufficient, and file access is limited to the permissions of its operating-system account.
