CVE-2026-41517Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Admin-authenticated code execution via unchecked plugin archive

Published May 8, 2026 · Updated May 8, 2026

Unrestricted file upload in emlog before 2.6.11 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary PHP through a plugin ZIP. The admin/plugin.php upload handler passes the archive to emUnZip(), which blindly extracts its contents under content/plugins, where plugin PHP is loaded and executed. Administrator access to the plugin upload action is required; successful exploitation grants code execution with the web server's privileges and supports a persistent backdoor.
