Plaintext recovery via variable-time padding validation
Published Jul 6, 2026 · Updated Jul 6, 2026
Information disclosure in OP-TEE OS 4.5.0 through 4.10.x allows local users to recover RSA PKCS#1 v1.5 plaintext via a timing oracle. The rsaes_pkcs_v1_5_decode() routine returns early for distinct padding failures and scans for the separator with input-dependent runtime. Reachability requires plat-d06 with the HPRE driver enabled, access to a decryption interface, and roughly 1,000–2,000 chosen-ciphertext requests; the driver is disabled by default.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
