Code execution via PSD allocation integer overflow
Published Apr 11, 2026 · Updated Apr 11, 2026
Integer overflow in GIMP 3.0.8 PSD parsing allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code by opening a crafted image. The PSD parser fails to validate user-supplied size data before buffer allocation, so integer wraparound produces an undersized buffer. Exploitation requires the target to visit a malicious page or open a malicious file and executes code in the current process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
