Authenticated SQL injection via unescaped partition keys
Published May 7, 2026 · Updated May 7, 2026
SQL injection in Dagster before 1.13.1 and its I/O libraries before 0.29.1 allows remote authenticated users to read or modify database data. DuckDB, Snowflake, BigQuery, and DeltaLake I/O managers interpolate dynamic partition keys into SQL WHERE clauses without escaping them, so injected SQL runs under the manager's database credentials. Exploitation requires API access and dynamic-partition creation rights; static and time-window partition deployments are unaffected.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
