Unauthenticated database writes via unprotected AI callbacks
Published Apr 24, 2026 · Updated Apr 24, 2026
Authentication bypass in CyberPanel before 2.4.5 allows remote attackers to write arbitrary database data through AI Scanner callbacks. The CSRF-exempt receive_status_update and scan_callback handlers accept JSON without session or API-key validation, then create status rows or overwrite scan history fields. The status webhook can exhaust storage without a valid scan, while callback corruption requires an existing scan ID; both paths expose database integrity without authentication.
