Unauthorized media data access via DAAP SQL injection
Published Apr 22, 2026 · Updated Apr 22, 2026
SQL injection in OwnTone Server 28.4 through 29.0 allows remote attackers to read media library data through crafted DAAP queries. The sql_append_dmap_clause path in src/parsers/daap_parser.y passed integer-mapped field values directly to SQL instead of converting them to integers. Unauthenticated network access to DAAP is sufficient; crafted query= or filter= values can bypass library filters, with no reported service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
