CVE-2026-41451Public exploit

Command injection via unescaped user placeholders

Published Aug 21, 2026 · Updated Aug 21, 2026

Command injection in Unix-like Artifacts Collector before 3.3.0 allows local users to execute commands through crafted account data. parse_artifact.sh inserts usernames and home paths from passwd data into shell command strings without escaping them before eval executes the strings. Exploitation requires an analyst to run UAC against a host or mounted image containing a crafted account entry, and injected commands run with the analyst's privileges.
