DLL hijacking in Zucchetti FirmaCheck for Windows before 1.3.16 allows local users to execute arbitrary code through openssl.cnf. FirmaCheck.exe reads an unvalidated configuration path and honors an attacker-supplied configuration that references a malicious DLL. Exploitation requires write access to that directory and takes effect when FirmaCheck.exe starts automatically, executing with the startup process privileges.
