Unauthenticated data access via query-string regex matching
Published Apr 24, 2026 · Updated Apr 24, 2026
Authentication bypass in Budibase before 3.35.4 allows remote attackers to read protected user data through a crafted query string. The authenticated middleware tests unanchored public-route regexes against ctx.request.url, so a public path in the query sets publicEndpoint and skips the worker's global 403 check. No credentials or user interaction are required; exposure is limited to loggedInRoutes without a secondary authorization check, including user-directory search and selected event or license actions.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
