Unauthenticated phishing via unescaped mail placeholders

Email injection in pretalx before 2026.1.0 allows remote attackers to send arbitrary HTML-rendered phishing email from trusted event senders. Mail templates interpolate user-controlled placeholders, including account display names, without escaping malformed HTML or markdown link syntax. No authentication is required: an attacker can register a malicious display name, target a victim in the password-reset flow, and produce mail that passes SPF, DKIM, and DMARC checks.
