Unauthenticated code execution via late deserialization allowlist
Published Apr 27, 2026 · Updated Apr 27, 2026
Deserialization in Apache MINA 2.0.0 through 2.0.27, 2.1.0 through 2.1.10, and 2.2.0 through 2.2.5 allows remote attackers to execute code. The AbstractIoBuffer.getObject() path applies its class-name allowlist only after Java class resolution has already executed a referenced class's static initializer. Exposure requires an application to call IoBuffer.getObject(), including through ObjectSerializationCodecFactory, and accept attacker-controlled serialized data.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=2.0.0 <=2.0.27
- Affected versionversion=2.1.0 <=2.1.10
