Gateway resource exhaustion via pre-auth JSON parsing
Published Apr 28, 2026 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Resource exhaustion in OpenClaw Foundation OpenClaw before 2026.3.31 allows remote attackers to interrupt the gateway via Teams webhooks. The MS Teams monitor applies Express JSON body parsing before JWT validation, spending memory and CPU on bodies that pass only a Bearer-prefix gate. The Teams channel must be enabled and network-reachable; unauthenticated requests consume gateway resources, with no reported data access or modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
