CVE-2026-41397Network attack vector

Sandbox escape via symlink-following mirror sync

Published Apr 28, 2026 · Updated Apr 28, 2026

Sandbox escape in OpenClaw before 2026.3.31 allows remote authenticated users to read or write host files through OpenShell mirror sync. The OpenShell backend passed mirrored directories directly to upload and replacement routines that followed attacker-created symbolic links instead of copying only regular files and directories. An attacker needs low-privileged access to a sandbox that uses mirror sync; successful exploitation crosses the sandbox boundary without interrupting service.
