CVE-2026-41393Hinoki check available

Credential exfiltration via arbitrary tailnet DNS authority

Published Apr 28, 2026 · Updated Apr 29, 2026

Origin validation error in OpenClaw for macOS before 2026.3.31 allows attackers to steal operator credentials through DNS steering. WideAreaGatewayDiscovery queried each tailnet peer for PTR records and treated the first responder as the DNS-SD authority instead of restricting discovery to Tailscale MagicDNS. Exploitation requires same-tailnet position, a CA-trusted endpoint, and operator selection of the maliciously advertised gateway; the reported consequence is credential disclosure.
