Resource exhaustion via pre-authorization audio transcription
Published Apr 28, 2026 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Resource consumption in OpenClaw before 2026.3.31 allows remote attackers to exhaust resources through Discord audio messages. The Discord preflight handler transcribes attached voice notes before checking whether the sender belongs to the configured users or roles allowlist. A restricted Discord guild channel with audio preflight enabled remains reachable without allowlist membership, and repeated transcription consumes CPU or external transcription capacity.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
