CVE-2026-41373

Code execution via compiler environment overrides

Published Apr 28, 2026 · Updated Apr 28, 2026

Command execution in OpenClaw before 2026.3.31 allows local users to run arbitrary code through approved host-exec requests. The host-env-security-policy.json denylist omits CC, CXX, CARGO_BUILD_RUSTC, CMAKE_C_COMPILER, and CMAKE_CXX_COMPILER, so attacker-supplied overrides reach build tools as executable paths. Exploitation requires an approved host-exec request and a build that consults an overridden compiler variable; resulting code runs with the OpenClaw process account.
