CVE-2026-41364Network attack vector

Authenticated arbitrary file overwrite via escaping symlinks

Published Apr 27, 2026 · Updated Apr 27, 2026

Symlink following in OpenClaw before 2026.3.31 allows remote authenticated users to overwrite files through SSH sandbox uploads. The uploadDirectoryToSshTarget path streamed a local workspace without first rejecting symlinks that resolved beyond its root, redirecting later writes on the SSH host. Exploitation requires low-privilege access to influence the uploaded workspace and an SSH sandbox upload; resulting writes can replace host files or interrupt the remote service.
