Restricted group DM access via omitted allowlist
Published Apr 23, 2026 · Updated Apr 23, 2026
Incorrect authorization in OpenClaw before 2026.3.31 allows remote authenticated users to access restricted Discord group DMs. The native slash-command dispatch and autocomplete paths check whether group DMs are disabled but omit dm.groupChannels allowlist resolution before returning choices or dispatching commands. Exploitation requires an already authorized Discord user and a configured group-channel allowlist; it exposes commands and autocomplete in otherwise restricted group DMs.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
