Security-control bypass via unsafe environment overrides
Published Apr 20, 2026 · Updated Apr 20, 2026
Environment override flaws in OpenClaw before 2026.3.31 allow local users to bypass host-execution security controls. The host environment policy and skill override path accepted request-scoped proxy, TLS, Git TLS, and Docker variables because their keys were absent from the override denylist. Low-privileged local access and a host-execution path are required; the overrides can reroute outbound traffic, weaken certificate validation, or redirect Docker access.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
