Authenticated creation bypass via unfiltered blueprint parameter
Published Apr 24, 2026 · Updated Apr 24, 2026
Incorrect authorization in Content Folder Kirby before 4.9.0 and 5.0.0 through 5.3.3 allows remote authenticated users to create restricted models. Model-creation normalization accepts an unfiltered blueprint property, letting request data inject options with create set to true and override role and model blueprint policy. Exploitation requires a Panel account in a role barred from creating the targeted page, file, or user, and permits unauthorized content or account creation.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
