CVE-2026-41323Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Controller token theft via unvalidated apiCall URL

Published Apr 24, 2026 · Updated Apr 24, 2026

SSRF in Kyverno before 1.16.4 and 1.17.0-rc1 through 1.17.1 allows remote authenticated users to steal a token via apiCall. In pkg/engine/apicall/executor.go, an unvalidated service URL reaches http.NewRequestWithContext, after which Kyverno adds its long-lived admission-controller ServiceAccount bearer token when no Authorization header is present. Cluster-level RBAC to create a ClusterPolicy is required; the stolen default-install token can patch admission webhooks and alter cluster API requests.
