Credential disclosure via persisted declined endpoint
Published Apr 20, 2026 · Updated Apr 20, 2026
Credential disclosure in OpenClaw before 2026.3.31 allows remote attackers to receive gateway credentials through remote onboarding. In promptRemoteGatewayConfig, declining a discovered WebSocket endpoint leaves suggestedUrl unchanged, so the manual Gateway WebSocket URL prompt remains prefilled with the attacker-supplied address. Exploitation requires an operator to accept that prefilled address; the client then sends gateway credentials to the malicious endpoint, with no reported integrity or availability impact.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
