CVE-2026-41295

Code execution via untrusted channel shadow resolution

Published Apr 20, 2026 · Updated Apr 20, 2026

Code execution in OpenClaw before 2026.4.2 allows local users to run untrusted workspace plugins during built-in channel setup. The setup resolver selected a workspace-discovered catalog entry that shadowed a bundled channel identifier without checking the entry origin or whether its plugin was enabled in configuration. Execution requires a cloned workspace containing the malicious plugin and an operator to start setup or login for the shadowed built-in channel; the plugin then runs in the OpenClaw process before explicit trust.
