CVE-2026-41284Network attack vector

Service interruption via unbounded WebDAV body reads

Published May 12, 2026 · Updated May 12, 2026

Resource exhaustion in affected Apache Tomcat releases allows remote attackers to interrupt service via WebDAV request bodies. The WebdavServlet doLock and doPropfind handlers copy each unauthenticated LOCK or PROPFIND body into an unbounded ByteArrayOutputStream before parsing its XML. Exposure requires an enabled, network-reachable WebDAV servlet; oversized bodies can consume heap and deny service, without reported confidentiality or integrity impact.
