Unauthenticated pending-post disclosure via unchecked direct read
Published Apr 23, 2026 · Updated Apr 23, 2026
Improper access control in LibreLearn OpenLearn 0.1.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to read pending forum posts by UUID. The public getSpecificPost procedure queries only the attacker-supplied postId and returns the full post, author data, and votes without applying the hasBeenAdminChecked filter used by getPosts. Exploitation requires safeMode to be enabled and the post UUID to be known; unauthenticated callers can expose unreviewed content before moderator approval.
