CVE-2026-41235Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Host shell access via unchecked FTP shell assignment

Published Jun 4, 2026 · Updated Jun 4, 2026

Incorrect authorization in Froxlor 2.3.6 allows remote authenticated users to convert an FTP account into a host shell account. Ftps.add and Ftps.update apply generic string validation but never require the submitted shell to appear in system.available_shells. Customer shell delegation and the extrausers integration must be enabled; the root-owned cron task then installs the chosen shell for host login.
