Manager-level command execution via configuration object creation
Published May 13, 2026 · Updated May 13, 2026
Incorrect use of privileged APIs in F5 BIG-IP iControl REST allows remote authenticated users with the Manager role to run arbitrary commands. iControl REST accepts configuration-object creation and passes those objects to privileged processing that executes commands; F5 has not disclosed the affected object types or API calls. Network access and at least the Manager role are required; exploitation grants command execution outside the role's intended limits, including Appliance mode restrictions.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
