Authenticated code execution via unchecked ZIP entries
Published May 7, 2026 · Updated May 7, 2026
Path traversal in CI4MS before 0.31.5.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute code by uploading a crafted theme ZIP archive. Theme::upload passes the archive directly to ZipArchive::extractTo without checking whether entry paths escape writable/tmp. Theme-create permission is required; a traversal entry can place an executable PHP file in the public web root and compromise the server.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
