Denial of service in OpenTelemetry-Go 1.41.0 and 1.43.0 allows remote attackers to exhaust service resources via baggage headers. baggage.Parse tokenizes and percent-decodes every oversized or invalid member without a raw-length guard, while propagation.Baggage sends resulting errors to the global handler for default logging. Exploitation requires an instrumented service to accept the header past transport limits and use inbound baggage propagation; CPU, memory, and log amplification then degrade availability.
