Unauthenticated command execution via DNS MX injection
Published Apr 16, 2026 · Updated Apr 16, 2026
OS command injection in Sagredo qmail before 2026.04.07 allows remote attackers to execute commands as qmailr through crafted DNS MX data. The tls_quit function in qmail-remote.c places the DNS-derived partner_fqdn inside a single-quoted touch command and passes it to popen without validation. Exploitation requires control/notlshosts_auto to be enabled, outbound mail to an attacker-controlled domain, and a deliberately failed TLS handshake.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
