Account token theft via production debug mode
Published May 12, 2026 · Updated May 12, 2026
Improper access control in Microsoft PowerPoint for Android before 16.0.19822.20190 allows local users to obtain Microsoft account tokens. A production call to setIsDebugMode(true) in a shared token-sharing SDK skips the requester-authorization check and returns FOCI tokens to untrusted apps. Exploitation requires an attacker-controlled app on the same Android device and a signed-in Microsoft account; the tokens permit access to email, files, calendars, and communications.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
