CVE-2026-41101

Account takeover via enabled SDK debug mode

Published May 12, 2026 · Updated May 12, 2026

Improper access control in Microsoft Word for Android before 16.0.19822.20190 lets local users obtain Microsoft account tokens. The shared account-token SDK enables debug mode, skips caller authorization, and returns tokens to untrusted co-installed apps. A malicious app on the same Android device can act as the signed-in account to read or modify mail, files, documents, messages, and calendars without user interaction.
