Stored XSS via unanchored duration validation
Published Apr 21, 2026 · Updated Apr 21, 2026
Stored XSS in AVideo 29.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to run JavaScript in viewers' browsers via a crafted duration. isValidDuration accepts trailing markup after a valid time prefix, and getCleanDuration returns it to unescaped duration sinks on listing pages. Upload-level permission and a viewer opening a page containing the poisoned video are required; script execution occurs in that viewer's session.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
