Stored XSS via incomplete API-document sanitization
Published Sep 14, 2026 · Updated Sep 14, 2026
Stored XSS in WSO2 API Manager and API Control Plane affected releases allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in portal users' browsers. The Publisher and Developer Portal HTMLRender components parse API-document HTML after applying an incomplete disallowed-tag filter rather than neutralizing unsafe markup. Execution occurs when affected documentation is rendered, allowing code to act with the viewing user's portal-session privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=4.5.0 <4.5.0.55
