CVE-2026-41018Network attack vector

Credential disclosure via unredacted fallback log label

Published May 11, 2026 · Updated May 11, 2026

Credential exposure in apache-airflow-providers-elasticsearch before 6.5.3 allows remote authenticated users to read backend credentials from task logs. ElasticsearchRemoteLogIO._group_logs_by_host uses the raw [elasticsearch] host URL as a fallback label when a log hit lacks a host field, preserving embedded userinfo in task-log output. The provider must use credentials in the host URL, and the attacker must have task-log read permission; authentication to Elasticsearch is not altered.
