XXE in Spring REST Docs 4.0.0, 3.0.0 through 3.0.5, and 2.0.0.RELEASE through 2.0.8.RELEASE allows attackers to read local files. The REST Assured and WebTestClient documentation paths parse XML responses with external entity resolution enabled. Exploitation requires an attacker-controlled remote API response and execution of documentation-generating tests, exposing files readable by the test process and permitting a limited service interrupt.
