Uncontrolled resource consumption in VMware Micrometer allows remote attackers to interrupt instrumented services via crafted HTTP methods. HTTP server instrumentation uses each request method directly as a low-cardinality metric tag and contextual name, allowing arbitrary values to drive unbounded allocations. Exposure requires an affected artifact with HTTP instrumentation configured and recording metrics; unauthenticated requests can exhaust service resources.
